A selection of projects spanning product, service, digital and strategic design.
ARTISTE POINTE - A PRODUCT SERVICE VENDING SYSTEM
Artiste Pointe is a speculative product-service system designed around the pain, discomfort, and time ballet dancers experience breaking in traditional pointe shoes, as well as the difficulty of achieving the right fit and support. Combining product design, UX/UI, and service design, the system integrates customizable pre-broken-in pointe shoes, a mobile personalization app, and an in-studio 3D-printing vending machine with a circular return system. Developed through user research, systems thinking, prototyping, visual communication, and design development, the project explores a more personalized, convenient, and sustainable experience for dancers.
RAMLAT- A PORTABLE BUKHOOR BURNER
Ramlat is a portable electronic bukhoor burner that reimagines the traditional incense ritual for personal use on the go. Inspired by the mechanism of a retractable tape measure, it uses refillable bukhoor strips that can be dispensed, cut, and retracted, alongside an integrated heating element for controlled burning. Designed around portability, ergonomics, and cultural relevance, the project was developed using Rhino, 3D printing, Adobe software, renderings, and technical drawings to translate a traditional practice into a compact contemporary product.
SABIC & HHI BRAND MANUAL
This project focused on reshaping perceptions of the petroleum industry through identity design, using SABIC and its sustainability efforts as the foundation for a new co-brand identity. Inspired by the Arabian date, Malaysian hornbill, and lotus flower, the identity blends cultural symbolism with clean, modern design to communicate sustainability, collaboration, and renewal. Developed using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, the project included a logo and complete brand manual spanning typography, color systems, packaging, stationery, signage, and digital applications
SIMUSPACE- AN INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE DESIGN PROGRAM
SimuSpace is a collaborative service design project developed to address the time, cost, and resources often wasted when accessibility issues are identified too late in the design process. Using AI-generated personas and environment simulation, the system helps design teams understand diverse user needs, identify potential barriers, and test decisions earlier—before costly changes are required during development. Developed through user research, interviews, service design, UX/UI, prototyping, journey mapping, and systems thinking, SimuSpace explores how inclusive design can be integrated from the beginning to create more accessible experiences while reducing unnecessary time, effort, and cost.
ATHENA- A CONCEPTUAL SKINCARE BRAND EXPERIENCE
Athena is a conceptual skincare brand that merges nature, technology, and art, inspired by the movement and Arabic calligraphy of eL Seed’s Spinning Wheels sculpture. The project combines a sculptural 3-in-1 olive-infused skincare product with an immersive brand experience incorporating augmented reality, NFTs, and inclusive features such as Braille labeling. Athena explores a more sustainable, accessible, and tech-forward approach to skincare.
REINTERPRETATIONS
Reinterpretations is a series of posters exploring the visual language of influential historical works, including Gamal Abdel Nasser’s Egyptian propaganda poster, Dia Al-Azzawi’s International Exhibition for Palestine 1948, Hannah Höch’s Da-Dandy (1919), and the 5th Biennale d’Alexandrie poster. Through research and visual analysis, I studied each work’s use of composition, typography, symbolism, and cultural context, then applied their visual techniques to shift the original meanings and communicate new narratives and messages through my own contemporary direction.
HARMONY FOR ALL- ADAPTIVE GUITAR
Harmony for All is an inclusive guitar designed to make playing music more accessible for people with physical disabilities. Developed through user research, ergonomic studies, prototyping, CAD, and user testing, the design responds to challenges such as limited dexterity, physical strain, and difficulty accessing traditional guitar components. The final concept introduces simplified chord buttons, an ergonomic form, modular components, and the ability to be played in different positions, allowing users to adapt the instrument to their physical needs while maintaining the functionality and sophisticated appearance of a traditional guitar.
UAE HUMAN CAPITAL
UAE Human Capital is a digital design project centered on a directory profiling entrepreneurs across the UAE and the businesses they have built. Focusing on Joelle Mardinian and EyeCandyJoelle, I researched her entrepreneurial story and translated it into a visual and interactive profile. The project involved developing an illustrated portrait, monogram, animated icon, and app interface, combining visual storytelling, animation, and UI design to communicate the identity and story behind the entrepreneur and her brand.
